Which light is red and have you tried resetting the router?

The adsl light on my linksys router. I don't want to reset the settings because my household has multiple routers providing wifi for different areas. Unless you meant reset using the power switch, in which case I have done so many times.
 
I'm currently trialling Mweb and so far so good. Only one issue so far: streaming video on YouTube at anything higher than 480p is painful. Frequent buffering.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

So far I'm happy with the speeds I'm getting with Skype video calling, Steam, browsing and the odd download. Latency has also been very good and very stable. No awful lagspikes or rubberbanding in Diablo 3.

Really just want to be able to stream HD YouTube content :(
 
Yeah streaming on Youtube has been atrocious for a while now ..... dunno what happened, it just went poop one day and it hasn't been fixed.
 
Ah... Well that sucks :p

Still have a week to go but if things hold out I think I'll be making the switch. The consultant who has been helping me has been really great.
 
Also been trialing the 4mbps account and have to say I am impressed thus far. Will probably make the switch bar some catastrophic event.

Still not sure why I needed to send a copy of my ID and proof of residence as part of the trial account though. :-)

I started my Uncapped Trial yesterday, so it is still early days, but my feeling thus far:
1) Thx to MWEB Guy for getting this setup
2) Junaid at MWEB, this chap was very helpful, pleasant in his approach in getting me sorted
3) The account/conenction performs 100%. I mainly use it for working from home, so connecting to work VPN no problem... did a lot of downloadind, since noon yesterday... no problems.... I am getting better results(from speedtest.net, than my WA Home Pro, and my ADSL line is with WA)

So for me this is working great at the moment...

No one could connect to the internet because they rely on the same connection. The problem was solved by an exchange reset. Thanks anyway.

I am currently on 4096kbit/sec uncapped ADSL from MWEB
Its really great is all I can say... better than the previous ISP I have named and shamed on this forum elsewhere!
 
So im on the verge of cancelling my mweb uncapped 4mb account because I experience so much down time and poor quality due to telkom. Can mweb not escalate this to upper management? Im seriously over playing this game to get the services that we pay for. 18 months of dealing with a crappy line and line repair that either doesnt come or makes things worse. I cant stand it anymore.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I will escalate to the the relevant department on our side who can make contact with Telkom directly.


Just checked your account and see that a consultant from MWEB has been trying to call the account holder.

Yes he got hold of the account holder and stated that nothing can be done because telkom is waiting to assign a technician.. Which doesn't help the situation at all.
 
I'm getting disconnections from my home and business connection. also my browsing feels a bit slow
