Playing WoW when it happens, but it happens even when I don't play.

I popped you a PM, please can you have a look and provide me feedback.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

It's just the streams on the site that is the problem. It's like trying to watch a slide show on my side.
This on all streams regardless of whether its HD or not.

So the site loads on your end, its only when you watch to watch something that its slow, is that correct?

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

MWEB Guy,

I have purely one niggle on Mweb and that is with YouTube/video streaming. For example:

This is a video by vlogbrothers (two brothers who started using YouTube to create vlogs for each other which ended up taking off years ago and they have a fantastic following, but I digress). I enjoy watching their videos.

The problem is that anything higher than 360/480p (read: HD streams of 720p+) buffer like crazy.

I've spoken to a couple of folks I know who use Mweb and their experience has been pretty much the same.

So, I guess what I'm asking is... Is Mweb aware of this? Is it a concern? Will it be remedied at some stage?

Because, frankly, I'm LOVING the Mweb experience so far. I just can't stream any videos (Vimeo, GameSpot, YouTube, Kotaku, CollegeHumour, trailers on Steam, etc) in HD.

Just putting it out there in the hopes of bringing an awareness to the problem.

:)

Downloads slow and gaming, once again, sitting way above 300ms ......

Edit: Mweb sitting at 347ms ..... Afrihost sitting at 269ms, something very clearly wrong again.

Mweb guy please can you help me out with streams on www.own3d.tv

It doesn't matter what time of day I try to watch streams, I always get the same lag. I tried the same on my Afrihost account and there are no problems there.

Please help me out with this.

I was trying out a test 4 Mbps uncapped account last night. It was looking good for a while, I could stream a 1 Mbps stream but from just after 8 PM I couldn't even stream a 400 Kbps stream without constant buffering.

/disappointed

Don't worry, I can't even stream 480p with TelkomInternet 10Mbit... While at most times I can with MWEB 1Mbit uncapped.

Currently youtube is running fine for me, and gaming is brilliant, thx Mweb :):):)
