I know Bar_rat and IRG are in DBN, I'd like to see if this steam issue geographical or not.

Just installed Steam and I connected first time. Pretoria.

Yeah seems ill be using mine too. Damn pathetic really. We shouldn't have to pay for these days that we don't have connection.

Please try this quick fix to see if it resolves the connection issue:

Go to: C:\Program Files\Steam
Rename: ClientRegistry.blob
to: ClientRegistry.old

Then start the steam client, The client then should re update it's self.
(Note: Do not worry about loosing any of your games as this will only prompt the steam client to re update).

@mweb ... no thanx, if it works with Afrihost I see no valid reason to do that. I will not change any steam files

I love MWEB service, been happy as hell for ages... I'm sure you guys will sort it out ASAP! I'll play on my 3gb Afrihost for now .... will get me through for a while

This unfortunately does not work in my case. I successfully ping'ed and tracert'd to the IP adress that Steam is trying to connect to when starting up but the Steam application can't seem to get through when using my MWEB account. I have a 4Mb Uncapped Account

Ok steam is now going after a restart of my pc. - Pretoria
Also torrents are actually able to make connections again.

Mweb...for real...get your service right. this last week has been pathatic and torrents still arent working. stop fobbing us off with quick fix's and distractionary tactics make this a service worth paying for again. Or at least come clean and tell us what the real problem is and when we can expect it to be solved.
