Are there still problems affecting Cape Town? Just wondering why my torrents are so slow atm... The one downloading atm was going at about 10KB/s earlier but now it's sitting between 0.4 and 1.2 KB/s.

We have had no problems affecting CPT users today, perhaps you just need more seeds, or a better tracker? :D

For what it's worth, I just tried my Mweb 2gb account, and it was almost unusable. Couldn't get pings below 1000ms on pingtest.net, and that was to a server in Durban.

Switched to my openweb uncapped account, pings of 80. I live in Stellenbosch.

Hi Graal, send me your MWEB details.

Signed up this afternoon. Was busy downloading torrents via Telkom Uncapped 1MB, now have Mweb 1MB Uncapped. Torrents ran at around 90-95 kB/s on the Telkom account, on the Mweb account they're crawling at 6kB's. Hopefully the line open up after business hours (which is now), so let's see...

Thanks for the update on the JHB connection problems MwebGuy. I am experiencing terrible speeds and at least now I know why.

I'm not really sure what to send, though. Can I just send you the login details? The account isn't even registered under my name. It's registered under my mother's name.

I'm a bit lost. :p

Log in details or MWEB email address.

Pings in BF3 are very high. I was getting 160ms just now and my friend on 384kbs was getting 650ms

EDIT: and torrents don't even download at 1kbs...

This is related to the outeage we are experiencing. Heres Will's post below.

Hi Everyone

Just in case Friday wasn't interesting enough a portion of our JHB IPC capacity has gone offline so we are running at high utilization on our JHB network. Customers in JHB can expect increased latency and slow response times.

We have logged this urgently with Telkom and I'll update you as soon as we have an ETR.

hope you get it fixed soon

but online mp (mw3) ping is 100%

Hi oliverwww

I have set it on 4MB. Please keep in mind MWEB will never just drop the line sync speed, with out the consent of the customer.

Please allow for a few minutes to pass & then reboot your router.
