Good Morning XperiAnce

I have checked at are our test bench, I am able to access the ccn website. There are also no international outages at the moment.

Here is a odd thing, from all official reports the line upgrades should only start in Aug. But this week I have heard from two people (one yesterday in fact) who say their lines and accounts have been upgraded.

@MWEB Guy
Is there a error in the system or is there something we should know?

Good Morning, we have no control over line upgrades... Telkom should be able to answer that question...

You telling me you have no way to monitor the situation? Surely you must be able to see people suddenly having faster speeds. Especially since this is such a important switch-over period.

rambo919 we have a big database of clients and it would be nearly impossible to ascertain when the line upgrades take place. We can check this on an individual basis as our clients notify us.

My speeds are really slow today. Must be a line upgrade or something. I hope it'll clear up soon.

Afrihost might also not be mind-blowingly fast. They also slow your downloads after a certain amount, (i stand corrected on this)I believe. So if you wanna dl a lot, choose mweb. Anyway, I've been happy with Mweb for a long time, but give them a try, by all means

Isn't it only after 120GB or something? I only average 60GB pm

When I mean mind blowlingly fast, I mean like why pay R900pm when I can pay R697 for the same service/speed.

I'm on mweb, 4mb uncapped, its expensive and not mind blowingly fast. I want to move to Afrihost, convince me otherwise.

Hi

Please PM me your account details and the type of speeds you are getting.
I'd like to look into this for you.

I'l do it later when I get home. I live a few KM out of PE, where the telkom lines are up on poles/trees and I think that's why my line quality is not up to par. I have nothing against Mweb, its just because of that reason, I feel like I'm not getting the full value of what I'm paying for so I think it would be better to switch.

My last test to local (cape town server) if memory serves was about 13 ping and 2.5mb download and 0.4mb upload. Megabits.
