HI i need some help pls

I reset my password on the mweb site and now all i get is the landing page

Nothing connects not skype not NNTP not torrents nothing.

I tried resetting my router but it did not help, it;s been almost two hours now

I emailed this to tech support but have gotten no reply, never mind help, so wonder if you could look into it for me. It's a DDO problem again, some DNS issues and I was wondering when Mweb will/does update it's DNS cache so I can access forums and play the game. Note that I can access and play with my Imaginet and Afrihost accounts (and I would use them except they are small accounts), it's just Mweb that's borked at the moment. Here is the official word from the DDO page:


This morning's issues with DDO.com and related services have now been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience!

Please note that in some cases it may take time for your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to update its own DNS cache information, so some people will continue to experience issues logging into the game and accessing DDO.com and related web sites until your ISP updates that information.

If you are tech-savvy, you can flush your computer's DNS cache, and this should resolve the problem. If you aren't tech-savvy, you will need to wait for your ISP to automatically do this for you. No action is necessary on your part. However, please note that this may take some time, depending on your Internet Service Provider. In most cases, this may only take up to a couple of hours, but that is up to your ISP, and is not something that we can control.

How is your general experience? Is it only with DDO that you are experiencing this?
 
Yeah, it's just DDO because they had a DNS issue. They mentioned something about ISP's sometimes only doing this cache updating every 48 hours, please tell me I can have this fixed before that long.

Thank you ...... for further info, it seems it's all of Mweb that cannot access anything DDO related? Had a few buds also say they can't access www.ddo.com and such.
 
Okay it was working for a while but now its back to slow buffering. Yes I am using Googles DNS.

Please keep in mind that when using Google DNS's certain internet services is going to be problematic and some will work better. There is a reason why we ask that you set up your connection to obtain DNS's automatically.

As you've mentioned in your previous post everything works fine, it's only Youtube you having issues with.
 
Does the tech dept work over a weekend as stated? I've been unable to access anything DDO related since midday yesterday and there is nothing forthcoming.
 
That's where I went yesterday and that's who I emailed but in over a day, the only one to get back to me is you, as usual. It's a bit of bs that I have a major problem with my account and they leave you on your own to try sort it out. I mean really.

Please see in my post that I mentioned technical support ( CC - Call Centre )

You emailed technical email support & CC are 2 different departments, which is why I can now see where the frustration comes in.

Email support is from Monday to Friday.

Please provide me with the reference number and I'll have them look into it.

Still no info for me from Technical ...... can someone just please tell me if the DNS cache is updated every 48 hours like most other ISP's or is it longer or what. Being in the dark is driving me mad!

Hi MWEB Guy - I have an MWEB M40 ADSL Router. I'm trying to enable Half-bridge as I need to dial a PPPoE account on the modem itself (for Wifi access) but also from the PCs connected to the modem (I prefer it this way). Is there a firmware version that allows this under the WAN Profile options in the Billion settings? As far as I have seen, this is available on most similar Billion modems so a firmware upgrade should be all that is needed! Please let me know if you can assist?

if its mweb locked, you are going to have a hard time :(
