MWEB uncapped users... how much data have you done?

I know this is off topic, and forgive my ignorance but once you have download HD movies, can you play them on a proper home theatre system to get the full benefit of sound and picture quality? If yes, how does one do this? Burn to DVD?

I have a MacMini, which is used only as a media machine. So it downloads the videos, and then plays it through my sound system and TV via HDMI using iTunes.

16GB on 4MB/s since the 19th... but pretty much sweet fu3kall today!

Funny how I'm the only one who doesn't download "Linux Distros"

What--------------------------EVER!

Linux Distros my hair nut sack!

24GB on Afrihost 4MB - seems to be to temperamental to do more than that.

Funny the pre-occupation with what people download or stream... considering they pay for the same service as everyone else... Don't see anyone asking what ur using ur electricity for?
Time to go turn on the pool heater.

I do lots of downloads.

ALL PIRATED. And so what I don't give a damn what some geeksnob thinks!

I find it quite informative and it may influence peoples purchase, for example, xrapidx stating that he hasn't been able to do more than 24GB on account of Afrihosts temperamental nature is enough to put me off...

Done 18gigs for the month, or about 9 gigs since going onto uncapped. I've had uncapped before, I know I'll average between 30 and 50gigs if I don't have to worry about a cap, having had an uncapped connection before.

MWEB
4Meg Line
Evening downloading and weekends only.

You have used 160.18 GB so far this month. Last Session: 29 March, 2010, 01:44:30

Catching up on the last 3 months :) thereafter usage should drop.
But BR movies are like 13Gig a shot or more. those pimples are awsome.

I'm hoping its teething problems :) I'll give it till end of April.

I use my mede8tor media center and it has full 1080p viewing and allows SPDIF pass through so I get HD audio.

Swap your AMD for an Intel chip ... the CPU fan should be MUCH softer. :p (I talk from experience)

Microsoft media center is the best....i have 4 1TB drives in there...all the content on line.
Other MC are nice but often limited to one drive...often not HD etc.
i run hdmi to tv and spfid to amp, if they ever upgrade the sound i just buy a new sound card:)
I can also stream content from other pc's
you can build a hidef MC for about R3500

got my line when they launched and i've done over 100GB.
i do this much cause i intend to use the service every 2 months :)
so gather for a month and download for a month.

Have to agree. HD bluray Movies are like 10GB a piece. Especially the 1080p ones. 720p ones are like 6-7GB a piece.
