Mweb ungraded servers and breaking Wordpress sites

I have a website with mweb, they have upgraded there shared hosting servers which now will cause all Wordpress websites to stop working. I thought I would just give everyone a heads up. My site has been down since yesterday.

Are you hosting your site on their Windows or Linux servers? What errors are being returned?

According to error log it seems that a path has been mis-configured:

PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction

The rest of the data has my usnermane and stuff in so here is a snippet...

File(/var/www/vhosts/y/u/wp-config.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts//y/u/****) in /var/www/vhosts/y/u/****/wp-load.php on line 31

There are about 4-5 lines of the above type thing, always pointing to wp-load.php. I did a DIFF on wp-load and an original copy of wp-load from wordpress core files (unzipped from there website) and it is exactly the same.


- I am using Linux hosting
- I never made any changes to the website it stopped working out of its own.

Meh, my reply last night didn't submit.

My clients that host with Mweb, all of those with WP sites are fine hey, checked last night.

I got my website back up, they made some changes alright because the plugin PODPRESS is causing the issue. I moved the files away from the plugins folder and all is well. However, I have the latest podpress so something they have changed has caused this error and now I do not know how to fix it as I have hundreds of posts that stream mp3s from different websites using podpress.
