MWEB usage policies

Hi guys,

I am a medium internet user and would like to move my account to MWEB. Would like to get the Big Time Surfer Uncapped and I know there a fair usage policies in place. I just wanted to find out what the limit is on these accounts before u are named as "Abuser" and for your account to get throttled. The current company I am with is lame and am looking for a company I can get an Uncapped 4mpbs account. I do download but not heavy downloading. What would my best option be and which company is the best in terms of Upncapped adsl?:wtf:
 
mweb don't throttle, the fair usage policy is for abuser then they give you a warning after 3 they cancel your adsl.

i am on 360gig for the month, no emails yet :P
 
Wow, thanks mate. I think this is what I'm looking for. I have heard MWeb is the best and was afraid of it being too congested with users. Guess I will look into MWEB. Thanks.

what happens wen dy cancel your adsl? Can you get it back or is only for dat month?
 
They ask you to buy a more expensive account. You can't go back to the same account as before :p

I believe the BAN is like a rap sheet, no way to remove that status off your account. I personally went through this back in June. Couldn't stick around but am happy with current ISP.

Hey Hereticangel, wat kind of account with MWEB are you on and how are Afrihost's usage policies like??? Which is the better option for 4Mbps Data Only Bundle?:)
 
I'm on a 384k line. I do avg 80 - 100Gb/month . I Max out the line
Download all the time (mean 24/7). No Warning, or whatever. If we pay for uncapped for 10 to 20 times what the rest of the world his paying we should even use more than that.

afrihost is useless you will be throttled.

and yeah 384 never get punished , i dont think they look at 384 guys usage, my friend also pulls 70-100gb, no warnings, rumour is 400gb on 4mb account get you on there radar
 
I passed 500GB and got the boot, But now i have an account again :D they did not say anything when i reapplied.....
 
yea man thats really funny Hummercellc, i used to average the same as Salazzar, then got a blackbery and do twice the aount just on the blackberry!! i know that i may be shapped later on but who knows when that will come into play... like your sig Hummercellc
 
Hi there... a buddy of mine downloaded 800GB of data... MWEB disconnected his service and status says "pending investigation" :) ... hes still without ADSL for more than a month now... will see how long it takes... i guess once you hit 500GB, you popup on MWEB's Radar
