Mxit's plans for 2013

whatsapp have virtually killed mixit

What happened to the ex CEO of mxit who said android is not going anywhere?

Between 100m-500m installed instances of WhatsApp and 100-500k for Mxit on the Play store alone?

Anyway, given all the negative publicity Mxit received on the SA press it it strange that we have not seen the same publicity for WhatsApp. What gives?

i think they still have a good chance for growth in this continent, they just need to keep innovating and be relevant to their audience. I like what I am hearing about them.

With Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and BBM - how can they compete? I cant see what differentiated business model they have that will ensure growth? Its a hopeless case!

Wonder if this will do anything to the dead chat rooms that seem to be the norm these days :D

No chat rooms in whatsapp, that where the problems start in mxit...
