My Beloved Auris

@CamiKaze

How is the beloved Auris on with its business?
Is it still behaving?

My auris has ticked over to 251 000km the other day and the oil consumption seems to have gone higher than what it used to be.
Seems in the next few years as the car does low mileage since i WFH. I will need to get the rings done from the research i have done and somar do timing chains.

Its a common issue that fails with these engines.
Car has been trouble free with no issues just the oil consumption which i confirmed after checked the Plugs and cylinder 3 & 4 were soaked in oil.

Car is not smoking and leaking oil at all. Power and Fuel are still normal with no change.
It's behaving like it should, but I'm driving the other car now. I need to sell both cars actually. But nah, there hasn't been a problem since the last fix.

That is great news.
What will you be buying?
I'm actually planning on emigrating. So I'm glad that i got the car to a state where it is now decent, i can either give it to mom or sell but i won't need the cars if i won't be here.

Alright man
Many best wishes with all the plans to emigrate.

Sorry guys, the new job has f###ed my free time up, hence me not being much in MyBB anymore .

So... The update.

The car feels muuuuuch better.
He mentioned that there are some deep burn marks and the could only skim to a point where it was safe.
I would probably get this problem in 10 years time again.

I do feel that the car is less powerful in comparison to when I first got it. Like, if I quick snap (change to second and floor where the tires usually screech for a split second - this was only a power test), I don't get the screech anymore, which tells me that the is less power.

How often did you do this before you had issues with the gearbox? :)
