Is copyright infringement downloads of media for private consumption a crime now in SA? You'll have to provide some supporting evidence. Uploading or selling it is a crime though.

#factsmatter

You are quite right it's not a legal issue here.

It is however a moral one.

I'm not judging, I'm no angel. But I'm not the one pretending to be.

But odds are there is some uploading happening at the very least. Just nobody is ever going to look that deep.

Technically it's illegal somewhere. Just because nobody has been extradited for it yet or it isn't actively policed doesn't make it less so.

For that matter speeding up to a point isn't criminal either and just a fineable offence so one can argue how "illegal" it really is based on that.

I have a 2MB line and showmax works fine. Can't do much else in parallel besides perhaps very lite websites. Kids shows are awesome with good range and a steady supply of new content. Movie selection is a bit dismal. Series is OK. You can't pick and choose what you want but if you look at what they have with an open mind you can find some gems. Some series we watched that we had not before (And often had never heard of)

Whitechapel
Grantchester
Life
Madam Secretary
The Good Wife
Vera
Call the Midwife
Frasier
Friends
Blue Bloods
A couple more I forget

Some good shows that we discovered that we either missed when we where younger or did not know about. So yes, we enjoy it especially for the price. We do have some other favourite shows we like that are not available which sucks but I really can't complain for the price.

Get UnoTelly or something similar so you can watch BBC iPlayer. Unblockers aren't usually free, but iPlayer is. It has a huge amount of quality content. It's basically all my folks watch these days.
