So yea. I dunno guys. At the ripe age of 23 I've never been on a date and all the jazz that comes with it. Sorta gave up hope on the whole female race few months back and wrote it off as something that was just never destined to happen.

Then it happened. Noggal like a week after I wrote the the whole lot of them off (no offense ladies). Bumped into an old "kennis" from highschool by pure chance. Got her number and been chatting on a regular basis since then.

So we were chatting again last night, long story short, we're going on a date on Wednesday. Although I'm still unsure of the exact chain of events that lead up to that outcome. It will be my first date ever I might add.

At least I'm hoping it is a date. The word 'date' was never implicitly mentioned. I'm still semi unsure how one defines things like this? The same goes for a relationship. How do you enter/start/define something like that? Sorry for the stupid questions, :o but these are the questions that is repeating themselves over and over in my mind like crazy at the moment.

What I do know is that I'm just a bunch of nerves at the moment. Bunch of butterflies or something - and it is only Saturday! Need to change my diet to solely consist of rescue tablets or something...

So what you gonna do on the date? Stare each other all the time? Like seriously dude, go check Yahoo! Answers. Surely you'll get answers there.

just relax :) their human to ;) since she agreed to go out with you, she wants to be there just as much as u, so dont try and get her to like u, just relax and be yourself. and whatever happens, dont lose your sense of humour. nothing ever goes like planned, halve the fun is in stuff that goes wrong that u can laugh at.

Just hope that doesn't happen;)

Eh... ic.

Go and watch a movie, dinner/drink afterwards and then maybe some random walking like late night tour of the campus or whatnot. If I wanted the opinion of a bunch of 12yo's, I would have gone there :p

Do something that doesn't involve a lot of talking, staring at each other for two hours over dinner can be very draining.

There's so many options. Darn it, sometimes it really sucks being single. Enjoy!

Personally, I think you should call the whole thing off, and never speak to another girl again. Girls are for fags anyways.

However, if you want the night to go on without a hitch you have three options:
Chloroform
Rohypnol
a lot of alcohol.

In that order ... ?

Maybe bring her some flowers when you pick her up. It's a sweet gesture and she'll know for sure that you're on a real date. :) G/l

Damn! If 23 is a ripe age, what do you call my 33?

Ye you should maybe think about going on a date or something.

Just be yourself...relax...and enjoy...

Women are just men with other bits....

the more pressure you put on the situation the less likely of a good outcome

Just don't think about it too much. I think the biggest reason dates flop is because people over think them. Just be cool. If you look all uptight she's going to think there's something wrong, so ye relax. It will go amazingly well I'm sure.

Personally I'm not a fan of movies as first dates. You spend 2 hours ignoring each other, or at least I do because I really get into movies. Picnics are always fun providing the weather plays along

When I was one and twenty by A.E. Housman:
WHEN I was one-and-twenty
I heard a wise man say,
‘Give crowns and pounds and guineas
But not your heart away;

Give pearls away and rubies 5
But keep your fancy free.’
But I was one-and-twenty,
No use to talk to me.

When I was one-and-twenty
I heard him say again, 10
‘The heart out of the bosom
Was never given in vain;
’Tis paid with sighs a plenty
And sold for endless rue.’
And I am two-and-twenty, 15
And oh, ’tis true, ’tis true.
