So, I know there have been a lot of emo threads lately, but I feel I deserve one too.

I'm 23 and have just started my first job (so obviously I'm not getting paid that much.)
My parents are kicking me out of my house because they are moving to Durban.
My girlfriend is going back to Durban in July to further her studies.

So i'm going to have no home (cant afford a place on my own), no girl, and no money.

If you see a young white guy begging on Grayston drive in Sandton, thats me.
Any small change would be appreciated.

Karma?

when i was 5 i set my grans house on fire.
then in high school i had a crime syndicate at a shopping centre where i would pay poor people to steal computer games from cna for me.
i once tripped a girl on a jungle gym in grade 1 and she broke her neck (shes ok now though, doesnt know it was me)
im going to burn :(

*I shall refrain from kicking a man when he's down.... for now*

China, it'll all sort itself out, just be patient... live within your means for now, even if it means living in a rather nasty place with like 5 other guys cos of the cheap rent.

It's called sharing a flat in a cheap area. Everyone starts off having it tough and most people survive. You'll be fine.

Take a look at my last blog post on the forum. Are you really sure you are being kicked out? Are you observing it as a kick out? Time heals man, even if you have to be a hard ass about it.

dude if that is true omfs

you deserve this

thats pretty hectic breaking someone's neck

A good friend of mine is looking for a housemate in Melville. Rent's not too expensive. If you want to find out more, send me a PM.

Well I gotta say this, what we say in other forums we should not use against each other. I mean if we do then no one would post anymore.

Anyway back on topic @Killove

I am sure things will turn out ok, try to first clear your head then draw up a plan on how to deal with each situation. Take one day at a time

Get junkmail, or goto www.classads.co.za/browse.html, and look for properties to rent.

you're bound to have something.
Sandton is way too expensive just to live there.

I always said if things got to a point where i was considering killing myself, I would just pack my stuff up, move to tibet and become a monk.
If you dont see me here in a month, know that i'm 'ohming' on a mountain in asia with no hair. :(

Well as long as you don't kill yourself...

Main thing is, don't be foolish, if you feel you've got an opportunity to make it on your own, then go for it. But the fact is, your parents might not be kicking you out of the house, it may only seem that way to you.

I thought I wasn't welcome where I lived, but I received phone calls for a whole month asking me to come back. I'm not saying it will be the same for you, but check out the horizon first, like someone said, work out a plan.

There's nothing wrong with living on your own, or with someone, but living with someone who's not family is not the coolest thing for me ;)

Hey Tera, don't mislead the poor guy. Time heals NOTHING. It is what you DO during that time, that can make a difference.

Killove, I see you say your parents are kicking you out of your house. Do you not mean our of THEIR house? If it were your house, they would not be able to kick you out.

Except for a few people, everyone of us start off relatively poor. Like some other posters said, find a commune to share - it will bring down the cost. And now that you will be alone - no gf, no parents, work hard at your job, put in some extra housrs and you may be promoted or get a performance bonus which will in turn increase your salary and your lifestyle.

Good luck.

Wont you parents and family miss you?
