I have a 24 months LTE data contract with Telkom. I bought the 80+80GB R200 special which was on black Friday on last November the standard data deal is usually 40+40GB but since it was black they doubled the deal. The data was activated on mid month of December the night shift data lasts only 30 days while the anytime data lasts 60 days. Telkom assigns first time contract subscribers half data on their first month if sim is activated on mid-months I was allocated 40+40GB instead of 80+80GB. Anyway I wasn't able to finish all of it on december, the night surfer one expired on 00h00 midnight on 1 January 2022 and the anytime data was 22.27GB and it remained and got curried over and my account was credited with the new 80GB+80GB on the 1st of Jan on top of the remaining last months 22.27GB but my issue now is my new anytime/daily 80GB data is being used first while it will expire later on 1st of march but the carried over 22.27GB from last month is going to expire first on 1st of February but it not being used. This ridiculous and totally unfair! I mean why is this happening? shouldn't Telkom be sticking to the ICASA FIFO rule which states the data that was bought first must be used first but instead they are doing the opposite.

I think it a waste of time to call them and complain since I am only just nobody that is why I am contacting myBroadband i know you guys have a voice. I have attached two images please note my data is shown split into two parts which makes up the total of 80GB daily data part where Inclusive Smartbroadband = Bonus/Promotional and recurring LTE= standard data and both of these last for 2 months. So there is inclusive and recurring of both night surfer and anytime but focus on the anytime/daily data which is labeled Inclusive SmartBroadband Data and Recurring LTE/LTE-A Anytime Data. As you can see the carried over data from last month which will expire first on 1st of Feb is still 22.27GB but the new current month allocation of 40GB inclusive data is being utilised first it no longer 40GB but 36.35GB.

I think I have the same issue.
I took out a 10 plus 10 gig for my folks mid November 2021
When I login I see this.
I queried it with telkom via messanger today but all they said is its for 60 days
But how can 10 gigs go on the 1st Jan (yesterday when my folks opened up the app )that's due to expire on 1 Feb. Yet they give me 10 gigs that expire 1 March (the 60 days)

I'm new to this contract and understanding. Please can someone explain or is it a mistake on their side?Screenshot_20220102-174834.jpgScreenshot_20220102-171218.jpg

Not a mistake, all networks do this.
Your allocated monthly data when loaded on the 1ST, always gets used firstly.

Is there actually such a rule? Maybe check in with Wendy Knowler on twitter

But how if my allocated data 10gigs gets allocated on the 1st Jan, how does it get used up on the 1sta Jan if my folks only turned on their phone .no phone updates were done

Promotional data will be used first, irrespective of expiry of other standard bundles.
Welcome to Telkom.

The allocated data for Jan, expires in March.
You’re seeing the rolled over data allocated in December which had an expiry in Feb.

We are being scammed. They advertised my data deal to expire in 2 months while they knew too well they are are going to force me to finish my new data within a month in order to use the carried over one from last month before it expires.

Thanks so the data that shows expires end of feb is still available till end Feb . But then I will still get again on 1 Feb?

But why do I have two inclusive smartbroadband data balances?

Last month all I saw, was one for night and one for day, this month It shows 2 balances for the day data and 1 for night?Screenshot_20220102-171140.jpg

Yes and that would expire around 60 days in April.

Data was carried over, the expiry doesn’t extend.
