So I previously had a thread about my studying and methods etc to get my CCIE security.
It seemed to offer good luck and helped some others as well, so I thought I would do another with my efforts to get my CCDE.
I was about 75% of the way to doing my SP lab when the announcement for the new course outlines were made.
The new outlines make a lot more sense and kill off some really old technology which makes me very happy.
I have also been reading a lot of Russ whites articles, books and blogs and have found that I look at things too technically and am lacking in certain design and business aspects. This lead me to look at the CCDE certification.
More than the cert, I am looking to expand my views in design and hopefully become a better pre-sales, design and implementation engineer at the end of it.
I have studied a fair amount already for the written and am attempting it next week.
I have a bad history of CCIE written exams having failed the SP exam twice before passing.
Currently, I have looked at the demo for the lab and had a mild heart attack. Reading the blog entries of some of the INE instructors didnt give me much more confidence.
But what the hell,
So I will update with any interesting facts, things i am struggling with, books i read, cisco events i attend and hopefully have a success story at the end of it.
If anyone else is suffering through the same give me a shout
