Hey enigma243, how much is the difference? And what do you mean by a day with your current HDD? Do you have to hand it back?

Hmm. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just phone MI Digital first before I decide to just rock up at the CNA in the Pavilion and demand a new console (using my reference number of course)?
I'm worried they might give me the "don't have stock" story.
I have got the 3 red lights on four occasions. Thing is, I bought my Xbox in Germany on the day after the European release. I phoned MI and said that they could do a swap out but because I bought the console outside of SA I would have to pay a R684 levy/handling fee. Also, I live in Cape Town so the cost of shipping my console to Bedfordview (where they are based) would be for my account. So this procedure is getting pretty expensive. Anyone had a similar incident or who can advise?
Just fyi I asked the consultant if I could pay the difference for an Elite and she said no.
I got my Xbox on release date in the UK. I moved back to SA and console broke 1 month after warranty. I left it and got a PS3. Was then saved with the 3 year warranty. Spoke to lovely lady called Kathy at MI Digital and they could only replace my UK console with UK stock. So had to wait till they got them from UK. They replaced it with no problem. All I did was send mine and got courier to pick up at MI Digital. Was well worth paying courier to get my 360 back.
Haven't really touched my PS3 since.
