Guys came across a interesting post.
Take a look as it has some good pointers, especially for the new guys.

This is just stuff I noticed in-game. It's not a beginner's guide, or a list of pro-tips. It's stuff I see veeeery few people do, that would just really help everyone in the team! (and lower quite some frustrations all-round)
- If you're a squad leader, mark objectives. It gives you 20 points for every person that follows your order (doing ANYTHING useful in that area, for that matter), plus it gives them 20 points for it as well. It's so frustrating to lose all these points, again, cause the squad leader doesn't give orders. Only 1/10 squad leaders do this right now.
- Use you're class! Especially recon. We really-really-really want to spawn on your spawn beacon if you just put in a useful location. Behind enemy lines, hidden between 2 objectives, etc.
- It's okay to spawn on a sniper, but do NOT start shooting from his perch. He probably went to quite some trouble to secure it and stay unnoticed while spotting enemies and taking a few out. You're giving him away!
- oh, and spot enemies. Pleaaaaase ... It earns you more points if the enemy (or vehicle) gets killed shortly after you spotted it, and helps your team a TON.
-The Amtrac bus-type-vehicles are mobile spawn points. Park them somewhere strategically and don't go joyriding in them!
-If someone is running behind you tank ... they probably want to get in. If you have a spot, and you see someone running behind your tank (use minimap), then just wait a few seconds and you've earned yourself a gunner, plus a grateful teammate.
-If you're the gunner in a tank, don't shoot for the sake of it. You're giving away the location of the tank. By shooting, you're making the tank show up on enemy radar. Shoot if you have something to shoot at. Don't shoot at a tank until you're driver does or you're already being shot at. If you shoot a tank before the driver does, you're giving the enemy tank a heads-up, while your own driver still has no idea what's going on! As soon as your driver is shooting, you should let loose as well. You don't damage tanks with your tank gun, but you can kill anyone jumping out to repair.
And an extra tip:
By UK-FreeFrag:
- Don't leave your laser sight or flashlight on constantly, it gives away your position and worst of all it blinds team mates. You have the ability to turn it on and off for a reason. I've lost count of the number of times I've turned round due to tracer flying overhead from behind only to be greeted by the blinding light of a friendlies flashlight who has failed to notice that the incoming fire from the rear is the enemy flanking us.
By erathic:
- when possible on big sunny maps obviously, look at where the sun is and use the sunlight blinding/flare effect as an advantage, try to keep the sun on your back, and especially if your are up, and the enemies down, it's like a massive torchlight.
By Kryshalis2:
Don't hang out at the spawn point waiting for a vehicle. (Extra info: You can see if a vehicle is there before spawning, look on the minimap for the icon. Waiting in spawn is a waste of time and resources for both you and your team)
