yeah all nice and fun in the beginning until you end up on gate duty for a month, only to run miliarty escort for the miners the next month, while everyone elese has fun... hence why I left my drake and raven sitting in the hanger bay collecting dust.

This is your own fault - you should have robbed them blind and found another corp. RvB is all fun all the time. Burn Jita was 2 weekends ago Kao actually went to spectate. Now its Hulkageddon, where all the miners in hulks get ganked for a month.

Burn Jita was an event where a very big alliance(Goonfleet - about 4000 people) decided to go to the most active trading solar system(Jita) - This solar system usually has around 2000 players going to a single station to trade stuff with each other. Well the goons went there and just shot everybody that looked like they had expensive ships, for a weekend. They did this to disrupt the economy so they could make more profit. Kao was safe cause his ship is worth almost nothing and posed no danger to them.

You can play the first 3 weeks for free then it costs about $15 a month, but it is possible to pay by using in game money. So if you are clever(trading, manufacturing) or hardworking(mining, missions) you can make enough money to pay for the game.
