I knew this would happen. :erm: This has now evolved from upgrading my sons pc to upgrading mine. :D :whistle:

It seems the i5 3570k is about as fast as my i7 920, but the Z77 Extreme 4 mobo has better features than my asus p6t deluxe. Maybe I should sneak in an SSD somewhere.

Also, I don't know what keyboard to get?

Thats good though. At least you both get new stuff :)

That 3570K will give your 920 a whipping though. Also moving to the new Z77 has big benefits. Especially with regard to any "future" ssd you might buy. Trust me when I say it will make the biggest difference to both boot up and general use of the pc. Everything just opens up instantly. Best upgrade I have ever done

yip for me 2. SSD and Fast boot. 11 sec from power on to desktop. love it

What ssd have you got? It looks like this mobo can use an ssd as a cache for the main hdd?
 
We both have Vertex 4 128gb drives

You can use an SSD as a cache but IMO its not worth it. Maybe if you play a lot of games its worth it as it will cache them but for me I mainly play BF3 and a couple others and have them on the SSD along with essential apps. The rest install to the hdd

Ts gave me so much trouble but got it working in the end and then you guys all ducked...HEE HEE.
Pinnacle here in DBN have been so slack with my application. I have submitted my docs to Frontosa so if all works out will get better pricing and good products leaving out the middle man
 
I wanna try the Shottie with slugs. Harry use the 870 ans pest the spas gonna try both since you can instant kill someone
