MyBroadband design changes

First time I've loaded the home page since the change. I'm getting the mobile version on my desktop (FF, Win 7).

Can you screenshot? I don't have that problem.
@rpm, could we please not have banner adds on the side and instead have widescreen? It's going a bit overboard. At least on my iPad the sides are cut off

EDIT: No problem with the adds, but the banners on the side make it feel like I am being served adds instead of news.

This is strange - what resolution to you use?

Ah I see ...

I often run two windows side by side on my 46" 1920x1080 LCD. (MyBB in one, streaming in the other.)

It's mobile when like this but in desktop mode full screen.

Your logic is flawed if you only look at resolution though. You need to use more indicators than just resolution surely. Consider my Sony Xperia Z3 is 1920x1080 too.

Wasn't a problem before.

We do not only look at resolution, but if you shrink the window it switches to a mobile design. We do take devices into account as well (I wish we did not have to do that), and will try to optimise the experience based on feedback from users.

Thanks for changing the mobile scheme to something more usable but I cant attach anything to my post. Where is the go advanced button like before?

Thanks for new mobile style, but Style ID=35 was more useful. Please restore ID=35/25.
The following is about new mobile style ID=40
1. There is to much white space. One liner reply shows what I am talking about.
2. Please integrate page selection with the thread header and in the message area buttons "Reply" etc. can be also integrated with the poster name line.
3. Message list shows the same problem as #1. There is to much difference between bold and normal font. Normal font is rendered very thin and there is to much space beween lines. The only acceptable is a main thread list page:

Yah, I have to agree RPM, it's better but the older style was far superior. More compact, quicker to nav and actually more readable. Lots of white space even in the rehashed theme.

Thanks. The new MyBroadband Mobile style is an improvement on the regular Mobile one. I can live with it if Old Mobile isn't possible.

Why aren't you using Tapatalk? I would use a desktop client in preference to the website.

Regarding the app, personly not a fan, the old mobile was just easier, right there in a browser, why use a app?

I'm also only getting 3 pages from the "what's new" search. This used to be 4/5?

If you only use MyBB then I suppose no point.
I could not actually point out the differences as I have never used the website on my mobile device.
If anything like the full web though, the app is a lot faster to navigate around.

Do these changes only apply to mobile?

Why, on 2 different PC's, am I seeing a sort of large background advert (MWEB I think) that is cut off on the screen sides behind the foreground wall of text/headlines etc... It looks bad :/ At least the forum section does not have this, assuming because of widescreen.

Also I'm seeing a difference between homepage (Tech news) and forum page button styles. Needs to be consistent. I am using the dark theme but seems to make no difference changing to Mybb default.

Going to try deleting cache just now to see if it helps. But its on 2 different PC's that I'm seeing this already.

Why is the main page asking if I want to leave or stay on the page when clicking a link?
