N95 back cover replacement

I glued mine as per Lancelot's recommendation, so far so good, total cost about R20-00, how much is super glue these days?...

My N95s back is still being held in place by press stick. sad but true.

hehe... Try the super glue route, getting the back cover off is really not all that difficult and a bit of strategically placed super glue and bobs your auntie....

Good to hear it worked for you! I was less brave and used contact adhesive (free solution as I already had the glue and only used four drops or so) :)

When the back cover is opened up the place where the clips used to be provide a perfect spot for you to put a spot of glue. Make sure it dries before putting it on as you don't want the cover to stick to the battery.

HEHE...Prestik is still my solution as I am constantly changing batteries or SIM cards.

Prestik also has another great function.....Sticks my phone to the dash when using GarminXT....doesnt fall off the dash!

Where can i get a the full housing cover from in durban? How much will it cost?

Nokia at Vodaworld Midrand offered to swap out all my covers for around R600 (Front cover, back cover, buttons, side buttons, speaker grills, camera cover, the works) so I'd try them.

I woudlnt mind that, but my volume buttons are also broken.. but the actual connectors on the PCB board of the phone... they broke off when I dropped it.

It is a little frustrating as I have also been told the ones available are generic ones for between R100 and R150. Yet online you find genuine, full cover not just battery cover, for 12 pounds... I'd pay around R180 for a genuine!

Anyway I myself resorted to the solution provided in the other thread link i posted. I took off the whole cover and glued the battery cover to the rest of the cover from within. It dried perfectly and from outside you can't tell the difference. I don't access the battery that often anyway.

sir hope you found it.if not tell me i will check at my cellular bussiness 2morow. i usually have som spares dumped in boxes. if i find u can have it
