This morning i removed it from the charger at 06:00 and i surf the web and listened to music at the same time for like 3 hour then the battery died...Never mind the fact that the web browser kept crashing on me i even tried opera but i didn't like it,and these days it restarts quite a lot and i don't know why?:(

No problems here either - Charged it wednesday night (took it off the charger around 11pm) - it started to complain on saturday evening but by Sunday morning (around 10am) it was still working, just moaning alot, so I was merciful and gave it some juice :) - That was with calls, web-browsing, camera usage etc. No Wi-Fi usage and 3G is turned off.

What I am doing though is for the first few charges I let it run itself down completely before charging it up again - I don't beleive in the whole 16 hour pre-charge etc .. but this idea makes sense to me.

ps. if you want to kill the battery when it is near death, just try copy a really big (couple hundred meg) file to the phone. It soon goes poof!

Nokia N95 Poor Battery Life and Standby time

My Nokia N95 has more than pathetic battery life.

On complete standby with all energy consuming features switched of and no calls made, I get about 30 – 40 hours battery life.

Make a few calls and cut this to half a day!

I am pissed off with Nokia SA, who refuse my request to take the phone back and give me my money back.

So I have opened a web page about this, to allow others who are having the same problem to voice their own opinions.

It is time to stand up against corporate’s who think they can make a marketing claim and deliver something completely different.
Nokia claims up to 225 Hours standby time! This is a bunch of Baulderdash! Evidence of this is very clear by the postings on this forum and hundreds of other forums around the world about Nokia N95 poor battery life!

Nokia will not admit anything, and are doing nothing about it - so let us beat it out of them - our way!

If you have an interest please go top http://www.consumercop.co.za and post your story or contact me.

As one we are week – In mass we are strong! So you decide if you want to stay weak or if you would like to be strong

Very few people have changed the world - For it is only them that have!

It should be known to users that a high spec phone with a huge screen will battle on battery life if the device is used alot! Here are some tips i have learnt from using S60 devices for a long while! My 6600 lasted forever, N70 became less, N80 even worse and the N95 a bit better than the N80.
Ok, turn down the screen brightness level, it eats battery power up, if using MXit or anything like that, rather turn off DUAL Mode and use the GSM network, also, if you know you not going to be able to charge for a while, turn off the vibrate feature on these programs for when u get a msg etc, this eats the battery up. Dont keep applications open if you are not using them!

I've always been a Nokia fan but clearly I'm going to sidestep the N95 whenever I upgrade in the future! :)
The battery industry as a whole needs a wake up call. I have a laptop with decent specs and it serves me well, but the only issue I have with it is the poor battery life. It's a problem across the board; when the specs go up, the battery life suffers. However, this should not be an excuse but rather an incentive for the battery manufacturers to design stronger batteries. Grrr
