Change from your N95 scanning for both UMTS and GSM networks (i.e. ‘Dual mode’) to just GSM) unless you have a very good reason not to. The constant scanning for a UMTS network really affects battery life. Change this setting under Settings/Phone/Network.
Look guys why are you even comparing the n95 with P900? i dont get it cant you find another phone that at least looks good enough to compare?
Ah, now you're starting to agree with me. Thank you, Piesang!!
hi guys
if any of you would like to sell your n95s give me a shout.
Thanx!!

I did find a difference between using a normal 128K sim, as opposed to a 3G sim. Somehow the battery lasts longer with the 3G sim. Is this at all possible?
Its kinda difficult to get a 'perfect' phone (so is evrything else)! We just have to compromise there and there. With all these top of range specs on the N95, I wouldn't be surprised if the battery performance is poor. You guys may want to consider USB chargers like the "CA-100", I wonder if its available in SA? I used this earlier this year for my N80. I have colleagues at work who are USA citizens (my campany HQ is in Washington DC). Here is the link: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/4763_Charge_your_Nokia_via_USB_with.php
What I like about it is that it's so portable (unlike carrying the actual battery charger).
Ah, another brave nokio soldier that's defending the poor battery life, instead of demanding a fix, or better battery.
Nokio depends heavily on their fan boys.![]()
Well, I've been a Nokia fan since time immemorial! Just that I decided that it was time to change. Change is good, and I'm loving my TyTN!
Same here! After owning 6 nokios, it was time for a change.![]()
