If you dont know this already, theres a long running magazine in South Africa called New Age Gaming, consisting of a bunch of couch monkeys from Joburg playing games all day, bickering with children, and mocking their own subscriber base to death.

I dont want to sound like a 23 year old fanboy gamer living with my mother.... but dont you just find it terribly annoying that, for a country with so much talent in every creative field, its only source of interactive entertainment reviews and by-monthly treats come in the form of ****inoxious pap? These self-appointed gaming superstars of the vlaktes of South Africa keep making money, doing ( by international standards, copy paste copy paste ) nothing, while thousands of very talented people sit by and inwardly laugh at their shinanigans. Now I know they have taken the initiative, and i praise them for it, but what are the chances of seeing some strong competition arise, im not talking about the bunch of ludicrous sister magazine pamphlets out there, im talking full-on balls to the wall DVD included thick, big 100 page bastard magazines?

It seems that monopolies seem to be in more sectors than just IT in this country, i just wonder whose going to pick up the stick and beat the crap out of the Jabbah the Huts we got denying our talent its development?

When is someone going to stand up against this tyranny? Whose it going to be? YOU decide..

question, can i host a .co.za extended website from overseas? Ive heard what happened to the xbox360.co.za site, bandwidth crisis an all, isnt it cheaper to go overseas?

You can host a co.za website wherever you like.

If you don't like NAG you can always buy GEAR (also a magazine dedicated to gaming and not much else)

Here's a toffee for your rediculous effort. You seem to be having a bad day. Shame.

No go sit in the damn corner and STFU.

The reason to host it here in SA is that we can view it on our local only accounts, cant do that if it is hosted overseas

I fully agree with the first post. NAG is rude and so is PCF, I've had it with both and I have been germ free for 3 years! ;) :D :p

I havent read the NAG in years. BUT pcf I have, and i think that the mag is pretty good, only the Ask Luis at the end is a bit  . He needs to become more nice, or find someone else

All three are pretty terrible, although NAG is the strongest of the three. Either way, the included DVDs are usually worth it as they save you from spending all your bucks on bandwidth - especially for demos that you'd like to see but would never max your cap on just to play for 10 minutes.

If you've got 10 minutes or a R100 in your pocket, pick up a copy of EDGE magazine at CNA or Paperweight. Now that is a Gaming Magazine.

there is only one videogame magazine.... EDGE......

I tried to subscribe a while ago but the agency doing their subscriptions completley fcuked the cat.. I got billed, they said the mag was coming, on the smae day I got that letter i got another one saying that they could not process my payment, they gave me my money back, idiots.

Personally I find all SA print mags are unworthy. They're all a month behind the international print mags and those are all a month behind online news.

True! Worst are the syndicated mags like FHM.

I can also recommend a magazine called "Computer Power User" / "CPU" that is also available for a high price but worth it if you want a real magazine about hardware.
