AWSOME
The fast food chain is famous for its brazen television adverts, but now Nando's is getting a taste of its own medicine.

Earlier in April Nando's released a spoof of insurance company Santam's latest television advert featuring actor Ben Kingsley.

Watch the original Santam advert here.

The Nando's advert pokes fun at this set-up and shows a local actor addressing the audience while the Nando's meals on the counter next to him obviously change.

Watch the Nando's spoof here.

Lol, well brilliant. But what are Santam moaning about? The add does not break down Santam's image....

Brilliant! C'Mon Nandos rise to the challenge, deliver the goods with an extra serving of some tongue in cheek! :)

Nandos can not afford to NOT deliver. Apparently the total cost of the order is around R6000 which is very little considering the publicity they getting. I expect Nandos to actually deliver more.

Well done to Nandos and Santam - great marketing from both :D

What if nandos delivers and then brings out an ad a long the lines of "we came to the table now its your turn, give all those kids life cover or something" haha

That's the whole point. Santam will then be challenged to up them etc etc until someone.... chickens out.

Just heard on 702, Nandos are delivering a meal a month to all the kids for the next year.

That's nice of them.

Just FYI. I've never eaten Nando's ... ever. Simply because there isn't one where I live. And when I get to the city, there are other places that tickles my fancy more. But after this I might just make them a priority.

EDIT: Damnit, I hate posting at the end of a page. I'm going to quote myself just to get on the next page. Call it the Picard manoeuvre.

Vodacom should learn a thing or two from Nando's and Santam instead of crying like babies when Cell C released their ad a year ago.

tbf the only reason this has worked is due to different industries and frankly Nandos wasn't taking the piss out of Santam. Two totally different situations.

Well done to both these companies
