Nando's VS Santam

Issue with that ad is CellC were actually right. ASA should seriously relax their competitive advertising laws.

What I really want to see is an ad war between Nandos and Kalula. They always put out great ads.

I don't watch SABC (any TV actually) often enough to see either add campaigns.

Massively well done to Santam for having the balls to up the ante and take the cribbing graciously....

Also well done to Nando's for coming to the party.

sorry if I sound delayed but what is the Nandos ad about? I dont understand what does it have to do with Santam. sorry never watched tv for a few months now:o

Well, both got a lot of free publicity from the news papers and everybody going on about this....kudos U 2.

Nando's food is nice, but just so damn pricey.

It is, except for the Quarter chicken+chips+roll for R30. That's a very good deal, and much more filling and nice than anything at other takeouts for the same price.

So who actually enjoyed Santam's original advert?
Thought it was interesting the first two times, then a little annoying..

Brilliant! Well done Nando's, well done Santam! I think Nando's will come to the party with the challenge. Now we just need to see if they will leave it there - I think so.

Yeah, inflation is a bitch. Before I moved down to Cape Town it was R30-R35 for a burger meal. 5 years later and it's almost double that...

What if Nandos and Santam have contracted the same marketing company and we're just pawns in a little game.

Nando's have come to the party big time and are going to donate meals for a year

Thought this as well, and if there's any truth, then the kids win, which is awesome. I don't mind being "duped" like this, if it means some under-privileged folks benefit

No issues whatsoever, it helps kids and entertains me. If someone planned and thought this up they deserve a bells.

There's a Nando's in Greenwich, London. Often eat there when I'm visiting my buddy. Quite a few dotted around London.

Nothing like the take-away joints in SA. Basically an upmarket version. The one in Canary Wharf is always full.

An employment agency wanted to refer my CV to their UK admin office.

Brilliant on the part of both Santam and Nando's. Kudos to both of them for having a sense of humour!

There are quite a few Nando's in India as well ! We went to one of them in Mumbai and expected the food to be on the strong side, but surprisingly enough it was not as we expected; in fact it didn't taste as nice as the SA version; something different about it.
