I've been reading a bit about napping lately and found out that he has immense benefits, especially a mid-day nap that can improve your productivity by up to 80%. So why is napping at work frowned upon? Is it because it is viewed as a waste of time? I'd rather nap for 30 minutes after lunch and be 75% productive for the rest of the day than not nap and be 25% productive. It's win-win for me and the company.

Does anyone here nap at work?

but to it in the car ... or at home if your close to work.
The snoring is bothering the other people trying to work ... :p

I try to do it in the restrooms (that's why they're called that, innit? :P) yeah i know it's disgusting but I can't find a safer place.

I unfortunately don't get that reference.

With my sleep apnea I'm sleepy most of the day. Sometimes I put the kids to work and then I duck behind my computer and catch a wink.

That's until someone taps me on the shoulder because he/she wants to leave the classroom.

There is no law stopping you from taking a nap during your lunch break, just dont do it on company time and no one can touch you.

At my father's place of work, senior management were on a tour of inspection, when they happened on a sleeping employee.

One of the managers went to wake the guy but was stopped by the General Manager: " Leave him be. While he is asleep he's got a job"

Nap during lunch. Or try to negotiate flexi-hours so that you can sleep in and start work a bit later.
