At their special of R139 per month all inclusive, Nashua is still one of the better value-for money ADSL packages out there. I applied for my ADSL on the 20th of June this year and was told that I should give the process between 5 and 30 days, primarily due to delays in Telkom converting my line. The delay in installation is something you have to deal with when you choose an ADSL solution and so I accepted it.

I'm still waiting for the installation to be done, 47 days later. Despite the price, I wouldn't recommend going with the Nashua solution due to the ridiculous timelines. I'm seriously contemplating cancelling the application at this point. Can anyone recommend a quicker alternative for ADSL?

Dude nashua are still using telkom for the install, so more than likely it is telkom who are taking long.

Phone telkom and tell them you need an adsl line for business use and you will get it fast.

I thought the same thing initially. Problem is, I know for a fact now that Telkom only got my application in the middle of last week, which means that all the inefficiencies are on Nashua's side, not Telkom's.

Bear in mind that the R139 is only for the first 12 months, thereafter it is R199.

They also require a full calendar month to cancel, so if you want to cancel phone them at the end of the 11th month of your contract. I made the mistake of phoning them at the beginning of the 12th month and had to wait 8 weeks for them to cancel.

Bad move IMO - goodluck trying to sort out anything administratively with Nashua Mobile.
They suck ass on all fronts of their business.

R139 for 12 months, locked router and a hefty pricetag for topping up with them.

You can check the status and history of your application by entering your Nashua deal number here.
(Entering your landline number could perhaps work as well.)

If I were you I would send an urgent request to [email protected] requesting that they (Nashua) send an escalation request to Telkom Wholesale concerning your application.

R139 for 12 months

It used to be R139/month for the first year and R195/month thereafter, but that has been changed and subscriptions will remain at R139/m for the foreseeable future.

True. AFAIK, all ISP's who offer ADSL line services require a calendar month notice period for cancellation, including WebAfrica.

so if you want to cancel phone them at the end of the 11th month of your contract.

Rather email them on [email protected] and Cc [email protected] as well as [email protected] so that you have it in writing!

Nashua sucks on any front, sorry. I wouldn't trust any of their marketing ****.

Remember value for money on anything include service, something that NashuaAnything is horribly lacking.
