I guess when the Gvt starts nationalizing our very healthy mines the West will cook something up and impose sanctions that will make life harder for the masses and turn the people against the gvt. These mining companies are just covers , their governments are the ones gaining.

I lol'd. Seriously, it doesn't matter if you're a hardcore socialist or capitalist, but there are many many things unhealthy about our mines.

You seem to be missing the point – the fact that there’s an abundance of minerals do not make it an automatic winning situation. Like it or not, it’s still gonna cost a whole lot of money to get the minerals out of the ground and into the market. Also, the The People want to share in the mineral wealth by means of better salaries; now if you think the government is going to pay them more than the mining houses, then I believe you’re sadly mistaken.
