The Mazda 2 seems cool.Not a fan of the design but would buyer it over a car like the figo etc.

Thank for the link but there seems to be a trend with used car listing.I would only buy the 2 from Toyota Claremont,in your search results and it is exactly R100 000.Those results start from 75k but who buys a car from a place called Justin Cars,will Justin be in business tomorrow?

I think that is the biggest issue I am facing.The "reputable ” used car dealerships are inflating prices.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, never owned a luxury car,

But isn't buying a luxury car with that many km's and that old a bit risky?

I always thought those cars are dirt cheap when they old, because they deprecate so quickly due to the parts and maintenance being so high....
 
I dunno man.

I drive a BMW from 1985 as a daily. It costs me nothing but fuel and service every 15k km.

I also have a new Mazda and Ford bakkie in work fleet that is constantly going in for repairs under warranty.

Dont get me started on Hyundai and Nissans.

O I tell you. And the extra fuel tank behind the rear bench. Long range.

Old bulletproof motor coupled with modern fuel injection. Best of both worlds.

The newer BMWs are also solid as long as you maintain.


Maintenance is key to a successful relationship with your car.

I'm going to change the radio to a Double DIN unit or thinking about mounting a tablet in there and relocating the radio to the glove compartment. I have the Ambiente one but it's been modded by Novelsport, has lowered suspension, 17" wheels, decals and a boot spoiler. Looks very nice IMO. Sure thing buddy I'll update the thread with my experience
 
Also take a look at the Chevy Sonic, might tick a few of your boxes and should find one below 100k.
