I know you're not into vw, but you have to consider a polo tdi. Brilliant engine, loads of power and you feel safe in it.

Lets see how those balljoints are doing in 3 years time. Also look out for CV joints with those monstrous 17" leadweight cheap aftermarket rims.

Your acceleration and fuel economy will be harshly influenced by that.
 
I know about that, that is why I put some cash away in case something happens with my CV's and balljoints. I was also thinking about getting proper wheels or even some from an ST150. PCD size should be same since the car is based on the same platform.
 
Those Beemers actually look like good value, if the mileage is real. Though 96 000 in 11 years hmmmm

There are some good low mileage cars available out there... A family member bought a car last year with less than 100k km on the clock - 2000 year model, full service history (that's one of the many signs to confirm mileage, wear being another)

True, my dad has a 2010 Polo that's only hit 40k now, and the rate my Spark is going it will probably be that way to. Till my wife books her license.

So i've been driving the car this weekend, what I can say it's not as economical as I thought it was gonna be. But that is because of the massive wheels fitted to it, if you choose a stock standard model than your fuel economy won't be affected as much, other than that I'm pretty happy with it.
