My Wireless router got hit by God the other day. It's not broken but its faulty. The wireless works but is faulty, and the rj45 connections dont work at all... :( So in other words no online gaming!

What is the best one to get under R1000? I need both wireless and rj45... Im running on telkom business 1meg line i think, and need game it needs to work best with is wow...

the one that needs replacing is a Siemens 762SX which i got from Telkom. Sadly out of warranty period :(

Thanks in advance!

Dude I picked up a tp-link from uniterm direct for R560 a couple of months ago. Its awesome! N standard. With 4 RJ45 ports. Check out their site.

These have been very popular and everyone who has one only have good things to say.

Netgear , you cant go wrong, have had mine for a few years now and havent had any problems with it.

Yoh it seems lots of people have a TP-link! Ok so which one is your one for each of you? want to see if there is a parallel between the good remarks and a certain model :D

I think they're all good. Just select what you need.
I spent about R1.5K on a Buffalo and I could have got a similarly spec'd Tp-Link for a 3rd of the price.

If you wanna go cheap then the Tenda routers from Incredible Connection are awesome.

Don't miss out on open source firmware upgradability

Netgear, Linksys, Dlink are all good. What ever you get make sure it can be upgraded to run DD-WRT firmware. This will add great functionality to your router for free. It is amazing what it will add to your stock router, traffic splitting, better firewall protection, WiFi power output control, time access restrictions, bandwidth monitoring, VPN, VoIP and an endless list of functionality.

Here you can see which routers are supported and recommended.

Where can you get TP-link routers other than at that dbg.co.za site? I've been seraching some of the online sites like sybaritic.co.za but cant seem to find them I have never bought from dbg.co.za before so I'm a bit wary of them.
