Need a second hand comfortable car

So decided on a 2017 220d with some bells and whistles :) Went slightly over-budget but happy to get a couple years more maintenance wise.
Pics will be coming shortly. Sad to let go of the 86 (Yuki) but it was time

Miss a manual but loving the automatic. Gearbox is kinda what swung me away from the Megane, Volvo and even a VW.

If anyone knows a decent insurance broker though, please let me know. Everyone trying to lube me up :wtf: :p

Meh, now you will just blend in with the sea of beemers. at least with a Megane you would have turned heads :D

Congrats, it will take time but rather look for the insurance yourself

Like I mentioned, big part of the car was comfort which this does really well. Strained enough necks with my 86 :p
Back problems are the pits

Congratulations OP. Definitely made the right choice here in terms of performance, efficiency and sexiness.

Got insurance, but still feel it's high. R300 more than the 86 but value is more(?) so guess I shouldn't moan too much

Congrats, lovely cars!

What sort of premium were you looking at paying? AFAIK you're still on the young side, but above 25 right?

Congrats man. Really like the rear lights of the 2 LCI vs the 1st iteration.

+2

Thanks man :) Premium is just over 2k, including household. Was hoping to finally get under R1500 since the 86 was apparently classified under sports car.

Well, ****. That's some serious cash on a monthly premium, I hope your excess is low/zero as a result. Still, if you can afford the car and the insurance then you're probably doing well enough.

I pay ~R6,000 a month for public transport, so with that perspective I suppose it's not too bad. ;)

Congrats, on Insurance, try Old Mutual, I got awesome rates from them on both of my cars.

Should have tried the Giulietta Squadra Corse, over 210 kW. But the 2 series is also nice, at least it is still a coupe compare to the 86.
