I lost my oldest Ematic box late last year a little while after the Android 10 update when it bricked itself. Luckily I managed to get it replaced, and my other newer Ematic never had the update available, so it's still running Android 9. But now I see the replaced one has a slightly different look and feel, so it looks like it has updated to something newer, still within the Android 9 platform. Weird that the other one doesn't find any further updates. But yes, not too long after the Android 10 update and the subsequent issues that people had, it was removed. My advice to friends and family has always been to get one of these, but I now recommend the newer Nova model, which I will eventually get to replace mine, but for now, they are working perfectly, even on my WiFi!
