Well as Ive always known it and according to the South African insurance industry guidelines...

(i) Permanently demolished (Code 4)
(ii) Permanently unfit for use (Code 3)
(iii) Declared uneconomical to repair (Code 2)

Also stolen/recovered will still be a 2 generally and only show on police database as such.

but by all means correct me if I'm wrong, cos then Ive been wrong for the past 20 years long before Enatis existed.

In insurance parlance a code 2 vehicle is an accident damaged vehicle that is still structurally sound but uneconomical to repair, thus it remains a used vehicle on Enatis but having being previously "written off".

Therefore I suggest we declare a draw. The code 2 on Enatis refers to a used vehicle.In my usage I implied a written off (2)or rebuilt (3) vehicle.

Well the dealer is sending me the vin number and licence plate. Organised that i have time till end of the week. The thing is i had finance approved and everything for a 2006 civic 1.8 exi, was almost on my way to pick it up, then they called and said they sold the car to someone else by accident.

So I am pretty angry atm. Told them to find me a car asap cause I already have a buyer for my car. And i am not being very nice to them.

tell them to kiss your butt and wlak away. nothing happens by accident. why would you deal with incompetent people?:wtf:

I would have paid R80k for a 2006 civic 1.8 exi with 108 000km on the clock. R85000 with ADD Cover for R1k and Licence and Reg for 4k.

After I ^%&$ on their heads for selling the car that was supposed to be mine, I found a car on carfind that looks nice and close to the original one for R90k (without add cover and L&R). I am still paying R85k for a 2007 Civic with 94 000km on the clock. One of their employees is flying down to Pinetown to pick it up and drive it back over the weekend. Getting it Tuesday.

My interest rate on my VAF also decreases now since the car is not more than 5 years old, and my deposit % is lower. The car is silver and not white which I like more. So in the end I got a pretty sweet deal.

I also got miway to only ask me R15 more to insure the Civic than my Sirion. . Only thing left to do is figure out my Hollard Warranty. Thanks for everyone that helped me in all my threads about the car!!!
