Hey guy's,

Need some help, i just recently got PLEX installed on all my devices and set up, including my UA46F6400 (46" Samsung Smart TV) but the problem with this TV is, for the 1st couple of days that i was watching 720/1080 shows over the wifi with no issues, but last night for some reason, it just kept disconnecting on the wifi, and gives me an error "Connection disconnected - Please check your network connection"

Then when i go to settings, it says my TV has disconnected from the wifi, even after retrying a couple of times, it just does not connect. Only once put the password in again did it connect, but then 10 minutes into an episode on PLEX does the same thing again?

Now i dont really want to run a wired connection as i already had the power outlet moved to right behind the TV (Where the TV is mounted) so no cables are visible, so if im going to run a cable its going to spoil that whole "Look"

Any other suggestions?

No issues at all streaming youtube videos. Its only when playing something through Plex, or streaming over the network (via XBMC).

Is your media server perhaps entering some kind of sleep mode after a set time? (e.g. In your advanced Power settings, is your hard drive or any Network devices set to turn off after a few minutes)?

I just recently disabled sleep on all my drives because it was annoying me on XBMC when my drives go on sleep mode. I have not checked my network devices if they go to sleep after some time. My PC is set up as my media center, and i doubt though it goes to sleep because my downloads are set to run from 11pm till 6am.

So I take it Plex works okay when streaming to your other devices?

I haven't streamed (over wifi) to any other devices, the TV in the TV room is connected with a cable, and that plays 4k seamless (havent tested a 4k file yet, but the 1080 looks brilliant with Plex on that setting.

So this page says to try either of these:

1) Assign a static IP to the TV.
2) Check that your media server is not flipping between a wired and wireless connection (??)

Dunno about #2, but one of them might help.

Thanks a lot hey! #1 actually makes a lot of sense! It sounds like it can really work.
