Hi.
So my area finally has fibre, with Openserve. Which ISP would be the best option to go with?
Been happy with my VOX 10mbps capped ADSL so far as it suffices for my netflix/youtube needs and wife working online. So looking at going the 25/25 route to start with and maybe upgrade lalter to 50/50.

I need an ISP that will not have an AUP/FUP that will kick in until at least 750gb as my current usage is around 550gb and I assume that with the faster internet streaming quality will go up so usage will too.

All advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Honestly I'm going to recommend Afrihost straight away.
Reasoning as follows.

1) Excellent performance (Openserve - Durban)
2) Forum presence is exceptional, I mean their Rep is still active now when they should be having supper.
3) No FUP that I've ever experienced (I had a heavy download + stream month where I exceeded 1TB)
4) Client control panel nice and easy to work with
4) Very competitive pricing.

Performance breakdown:
1) Local VPN for work purposes
2) Torrenting
3) Gaming
4) Netflix / DSTV Now / Youtube Streams / Twitch Streams.
5) Has always given users upgrades without sacrifice (e.g. Full openserve speed upgrade, some ISP's have limited upload speed)

Chances are you'll be happy with many ISP's, a lot of their performance are similar, so I can only just give you my detailed reasoning.
Look I mean everyone who's happy with their ISP is most likely going to recommend them, it's kind of the way of life, my ISP history from 512k adsl days to now 100mbit fiber is as such. In alphabetical order.

Afrihost
Axxess
Cool Ideas
CellC
Crystalweb
Telkom
Mweb
OpenWeb (In early days)
Vox
Webafrica

Edit:
To be clear I'm not trying to trash on any of my past ISP's, its been from drastically varying reasons of changing over an extended time, just a indicator of having been round the block. How they are now could be better or worse than how I experienced them.

Thanks for the detailed response. Highly appreciated.

I was previously with Afrihost quite a few years back and their service with uncapped adsl got so bad I eventually left to VOX, but Vox has a bad rep in PE for adsl, mainly due to Frogfoot's fibre in PE being absolutely terrible for most people.

Afrihost/Axxess seem to have the best rep here so far so I think I will give Afrihost a try.

Once again thanks

Let me know if I can help with anything :)

Afrihost or CISP are my go to ISP's. I have been with Afrihost from 2015/2016 and hardly had any issues with them. I even use them for hosting as well. Pretty solid service all round.
