Need help setting up Qos on TP-link ADSL2+ Router

Hello I a share a ADSL line with someone and my 4Mbps line is realy slow, I think he is downloading movies or watching porn or doing online gaming.
I am trying to set a priority for http and https on all network ports of my tplink router, I know that it can be done using QoS i just dont know what all these settings are for Please help.

Hi Jmtheron,
I have found this manual which does show a configuration diagram similar to your router. You can get it here.
I am not a routing fundi so I went looking for some more information on the topic. I came across this which might help you to get an understanding.
There is also some more in depth knowledge here

Hope it helps to give you an understanding of it. It is not a simple subject
But to address your immediate problem consider this:

In my home environment I have very simply given priority to the important mac addresses and put the less important ones at a lower priority. You should be able to get you mac address and then assign it a high priority and set the other mac addresses lower.

I've done traffic routing on the 8960 but unfortunately not familiar with the interface you using. Is it for the 8961?

Hi there

I'm not going to say I know what I'm doing, but we have the same router interface (W8951ND) and this is what I did. At the moment, I'm running torrents on one computer in the network, while doing work (browsing, emails, etc.) on another computer. Before this, I would have lag on the working computer and most of the times unresponsiveness while the torrents were full throttle on the other computer. After this, I have basically no lag while the browser attempts to connect to the site I browsed to, I have not added any rules for mails and such, but I did add for DNS, DHCP and HTTP. I assume HTTPS will be the same concept as HTTP, just different ports. Attached are my screenshots I did for all the above. For DNS and DHCP I used the presets from the interface, for HTTP I setup what looked viable to me.

I'm really not sure if this is correct, but it has helped me. Give it a try and let me know.

ALSO, an important note, which ISP are you on? And are you on an uncapped package?
