Hi, I need some help here.
I have been with WebAfrica now 3 years with a 90 + 90 Telkom LTE package with a "Free B525 Modem"
The latest charge is R564 pm which I think is a rip off so I have cancelled my account and will be sending the modem back.

Now I want to go back to Afrihost where I was for 5 years before WebAfrica.
Now how do I go about this as far as the Sim is concerned.
Does Afrihost send me a sim or do I just go to Telkom offices and get one ?
I need to stay with Telkom as MTN do not accept a B315.

I think you will be receiving a new sim card. @Afrigirl can confirm?

Hello.
We won't migrate the existing sim, you will receive a new sim card when you sign up for a Telkom LTE package with us.

Yikes, I am paying (MWEB) R199 for a 80/80 on Telkom LTE, albeit without a modem as I have a 315 from back in the day.

Thanks for the quick replies :)
I still have my clientzone with Afrihost so I just apply for whatever package I want and you guys will send me a sim ?

Just a question to other Telkom Mobile users
Have any of you seen 5G pop up on your phone?
I use a Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra with 5G switched on in settings but never seen it ever pick up 5G - makes me wonder if I need a new sim, A friend on MTN with the same phone picks up 5G in multiple areas

Hello @ProAsm - please DM us with your details, we would like to call to discuss a few options you may want to consider. We're on standby to further assist via DM. Rs^

At last, you have no idea how long and how much effort it has been to get hold of you guys.
Excuse my ignorance but what is a DM and .Rs^

DM = "Direct Message" (If you click on @WebAfricaHelper's picture, you will be taken to a page with a "private message" button that you can use to send them a direct message.

.Rs^ = "Regards" (I think?)

My B315-936 works fine with MTN sim.
Interesting.
When I was with Afrihost way back I wanted to go MTN but they said I cannot do that as a B315 cannot do LTE+ which I find a joke.
Currently my B525 with out door antenna set to 1800/2400 and shows LTE+ but never sees above 40 mbits.
My B315 is set only to 2400 up/and down often goes over 60 mbits :)
