Need some objective advice on the home situation

At age 24 you should not be living with your mother. She is right and you have no say in the matter. Her house, her rules. Don't like it, leave.

It really is that simple.

this situation sounds weird to me because it's the wrong way round.
why isn't she moaning at you about bringing your horny partner round every night?
something is going wrong here and the first step to sort it out is for you to separate yourself from your mother and move out.
granted, i don't know your situation. perhaps there's extenuating circumstances here.

This situation is simple yet complex. If the home belongs to your mom and she is paying practically all the expenses related to running it, she has majority say in how things go down. Then again if you are somewhat pulling your weight in covering the expenses you deserve a say in how things run too.

You should explain to your mom that you are not dictating how she should be living her life. It just seems that she has problems with the men in her life and it seems that she indeed is quite dependant on them to keep her happy. She should go to therapy or talk to someone to be honest. If one can't take care of yourself how do you take care of your partner? Relationships are two way streets.

It seems she has a problem and now is making it somewhat yours. I'm also picking up you don't tust some of these guys. Some of your belongings are in that house too so whom ever has access to your moms house can jack your belongings too. If your mom would be more responsible you would not have to confront her about her behaviours.

If all else fails you gonna have to find a temporary place to stay. I think she will realise she is somewhat in the wrong.

Either way, give your mother an ultimatum: She has 2 weeks to move the guy out or you go ...

Cheri, one of the most valuable life lessons I have learnt is that one should NEVER set an ultimatum or make a promise if you do not have the ability or the intention to follow through on it. All of us know people who turn every argument into a "I am leaving you" rant. Not good !

Anycase what type of guys are she dating? It seems as if they are just using her for a roof over their heads.
+ 1.

What kind of person moves in after a few weeks ???

The kind of person you won't be able to get rid of probably...

We still haven't heard if the OP is male or female. Shouldn't make much of a difference. Nothing stopping you from just moving out, besides cash. +1 on sharing a place- cheaper and you get some company.

Got any friends with a spare spot?

Living with friends doesnt always work out, neither does living with strangers actually. I have done both didnt workout either way lol

Yes. And I did mean for the OP to follow through with the ultimatum. Sometimes they do yield results.

Really?

You have a different guy move in with you every so often? You screw a virtual stranger with your child (albeit an adult one) in the house? You have no consideration for your own child’s feelings? Hmmm and here I thought parents should live exemplary lives for their kids in order to gain & keep their respect. How silly of me.

Tense error. It should have been past tense. So, no children. I’m a heterosexual male otherwise everything else is correct.

Now that is just petulant and childish. Do you want the OP to lie on the floor and kick and scream when s/he throws that tantrum.

OP can try either discussing the matter maturely (Which they have.) or go and make their own way in the world and live by their own rules.

There really aren't many more options.

Empty threats will get you nowhere in life.

Move out.

I did at 15 FFS!

At your age a dude needs his own space, experience some freedom - learn the price of it, lean what it is worth.

Apart from hearing the headboard tapping the wall when your mums getting some - how awkward is it bringing your romantic interests home?

Grow a set and move out.

From my side, it's very uncomfortable, as I can't move around my house, can't go to the kitchen to get a drink in my pajama's or gown (I feel very uncomfortable infront of these strangers I've only known for a month).

I'm guessing that broken1 is a female, because most 24 year old guys wouldn't give a stuff about walking around in PJ's and wouldn't wear gowns.

In this case the behaviour by the mother is unreasonable, you can't behave like this with your daughter in the house. A long-term relationship would obviously be a different matter.

Still, the only solution is really to move out, as it is the mothers house. Not ideal, but what can you do ?

Spread your wings and fly away. Look around for a backyard granny flat. Okay turn the search upside down - how much can you pay towards a granny flat or something similar? What area do you want to live? You have this forum. Talk to the guys. They could help you or mention you to the right person. These are hard times and lot's of people will aprreciate an extra income be it how small.

If you can't deal with it, move out then you can make all your own choices.

Offer to pay rent, if you pay rent, you have some say.

7 boyfriends in a year? Did I get it right?
Her mother must be very hot ... or loose. If the latter then she needs help.

Alot of move out posts here, and I tend to agree there are diggs or we used to call them that anyway communes, ask around check papers etc it is generally quite cheap and save as some are female only (if indeed your are female, always wanted to live in one of those ha ha) i understand your concern for your mom but you cant change it show her how you feel by putting your foot down and moving out let her do her own thing...

Good luck...

I can feel for the OP

Oldfags here should really not try giving their stinky advice lol
