I'm suffering from some serious burnout.
Working to 2am or 4am most mornings. Sleeping at times until 14:00 in the afternoon.
I've been without income for over a year and rock bottom has passed a looooonnnggggg time ago.
I need some comfort/consolement to ease my mind.

Yep, it's my time to get meds and I'm overdue again.
This started about 2 weeks ago though.
One day I'm amped and ready to face it all. The next day I'm dead tired and lost all motivation.

it's a repetition and it sucks. Not fun at all.

How do you cope with stress and burnout? I don't have the mechanisms as I thought I had.
Thanks for any words, or just listening. I'm alone and have nobody to vent or talk to. So you are my somebody :)

Hobbies, exercise, stop smoking weed.
(Three things you've previously indicated you have little / no interest in?)

At least just get out the house for a while when you can. Sounds like you've been stuck in one place (physically) for way too long. Join some online chat (I mean using voice not typing) groups or something where you can at least interact with other people.

Do you workout or keep an eye on your health?
I know people always roll their eyes on this question, but i also work long hours and feels that i can handle "life" much better knowing that i take care of my body/health

Not your somebody. Soz. If it's any consolation, you aren't alone. Of the 5 close mates of mine that own their own companies, 4 have confided that they are fast approaching their own perceived burn-out. 2 are weighing up liquidation. One of those is also facing a divorce on top of the financial burden ahead. It's tough AF out there at the moment for the majority. But a problem shared is a problem halved. So you've taken a step to getting through this.

If you are on meds (I assume some sort of anti depressant or something like that), why was this not the first thing you sorted out? So many people get help and meds, do ok, stop meds, then wonder why they are suffering.

Nah, what I meant was there's some meetup.com groups for example that meet on zoom and discuss topics of interest. Actually talking to other humans with your voice.

What line of work are you in?
ICT. Like most of you.
Hobbies, exercise, stop smoking weed.

Yep. I do have hobbies. Exercise hurts me physically. Posted a thread recently where my left leg was stuffed for weeks. It's sorted now after the exercise was stopped.
Oh look, this thread again.
Yep. As I said. It's a repition.
How long before OP rips into someone for giving advice he doesn't like?
It's not about the advice people give. It's their condescending and rude attitudes while giving it.

I don't have income. So can't pay to get the meds. I am reliant on someone else to provide the transport and money to obtain it.

No worries.

It's easy. If I had money this entire thing wouldn't exist.
Money, working late, burnout. It's one big fkup.
So who are you working for? Or what kind of work are you doing that there is no income?
There's a lot to it.
I'm Bipolar. A certain family member has contributed financially to my life for many years.
My previous employer fkd me over and reduced my salary to below anything anyone could live on.
The entire workforce, not just me. Before Covid-kak.
The family approached me and said I should move to them, so we could work together and attempt to make a sustainable income.

Things are slow. Money and resources are an issue. The money well is not endless.
I appreciate and love my family for all their help, but the actual living environment and atmosphere is nothing to write home about.
I am not a slave, but I have a lot of stress and "fear".
Will I be kicked out, to the curb? Will I be forced to live on the streets?

My motorcycle was stolen in 2018/9, can't remember. So I don't have transport either.
I don't have a vehicle license and attempted to get one multiple times. Which this same family member paid for.
I can't drive a car, or truck or bakkie .Give me a bike and I'm 100%.

So I'm not complaining about my family. They do what they can and more than they should. I love them.
I just need to cope better. I need to get back control. I need burnout to stop.
I receive a monthly injection plus 2 handful of pills daily. Since I can't afford the proper medication.
Everything the Government hospitals provide are "mock" medications.
Where I'm supposed to drink 2 capsules or an injection. I'm taking 3 different anti-epileptics and medication to counter the side-effects.
It's not easy and it's not fun.

I am just venting today.

he's in IT
Welcome to the club, I was between contracts for a while myself, and it has picked up again but to impress & retain the scarce few piecemeal jobs I scrounged, I worked evenings and sometimes through the night.
It must've worked 'cos I am back to full-time contracted, but.. now my current client expects the same performance I showed during the panic, and I'm simply not up to it anymore.
I worked right through lockdown last year, busiest time for many clients, and I lock-downed by myself so I became a bit bos near the end, so I seriously need a break.
But then such is life, I'll grab a psychedelic long weekend soon & fully let the hair down, then if I return from the other side it's back to the grindstone I suppose..
