Hey Guys,

I need a bit of help... I don't know much about recent TV developments but my requirements are basically as follows:

- 55" LED/LCD/Plasma 3D TV for main living room (fair amount of natural light in the room and open plan into dining room and kitchen).

- 42" LED/LCD/Plasma TV for main bedroom

- 2 x 32" LED/LCD/Plasma TVs for other 2 bedrooms (I currently have a Sony Bravia 32" LCD which I may or may not reuse)

I'd like to have a central media server setup that feeds to all tvs via ethernet - to share content and internet connectivity.

I'm working on an audio setup for the main living room seperately.

Budget wise, I'd like to keep it around 25k for all tv's as well as installation. I'd like to include the server in this 25k, but if it's not possible I think the most I'll spend on a basic server is 3-4k?

Any advice would be really helpFUL :)

Thanks!

can walk around to different rooms while keeping the w4nk alive.... :D

And I'm being serious now, since you're buying so many why not one in the bathroom? Even a 24". There was a guy on this forum that had screens in his bathroom, behind mirrors, so you would only know they're there when switched on. Looked pretty good.

Personally I feel that there only should be 2 TVs in the house. One for the lounge/tv room and one for the main bedroom. I noticed all the stores recently dropping their prices for TVs recently. I you could haggle with a salesperson in your local furniture store to give you a good price since you buying so many

damn, that sounds insane... link to thread?

I wouldn't mind putting one in the main bathroom but not all... plus a 24" wouldn't extend the budget that much.

thanks abzo, def gonna try this out.

Will check out hirschs, makro, etc. this weekend...

Any comments on the 3D HD tv - should i go plasma or LCD/LED for this? The room is not overly bright and has windows running along one sided... will have proper curtains too...

Don't know much about TV's but Plex is a boss at streaming media via network to any tv/phone/tablet/pc in your house via wifi or ethernet. You can even use your phone/tablet as a remote for any plex connected device.
