So is it a public holiday tomorrow?
I am not into the whole human edification thing. I do hope it becomes a holiday though! Would be a fun day off!
I am not singing happy birthday unless he invites me to his party in his presence. What the **** would be the point otherwise? I hear everybody around the world is urged to sing happy birthday to him at 8am in their respective countries tomorrow. WTF! I cannot think of a more stupid thing to do!

Agreed. People making a god out of a man, though nothing new. I might warm up to the fact if he apologised for killing people with terrorist acts back in the day.

That was what the whole truth and reconciliation commission was about, it gave these people a way to get amnesty without actually having to make any actual personal apologies.

We have to do it at my school tomorrow.
We also have all 1003 kids sign an attendance register and submit it by 10:00.
Also a period of community service must take place tomorrow. However, if this community service disrupts teaching and learning time, it will have to commence after school.
We also have to hold a flag hoisting ceremony and a video of a tribute by Oprah Winfrey should be displayed to the children. After which we must sing the happy birthday ("we love you tata") song to him.

Well, we wasted hours and hours in school in brown cadet uniforms, so I guess not much has changed.
