Nene admits Gupta errors, begs for forgiveness

If you follow the principle of "caesar's wife must be above suspicion" then there will be no one left to govern most countries.

What else is he guilty of apart from not disclosing the meeting with Guptas? Did he personally benefit from that meeting? As @thechamp said, meeting with Guptas is not a crime on its own/

I'm as conflicted as everyone here. Just don't know how to respond to the news I guess?

everyone so quick to judge. At the time this occurred, JZ and co were at the peak of their influence. Even now, our current president is tiptoeing around this faction. Should we really have expected more from Nene than the resistance he showed? Going against JZ (by not signing off on deals) at the time got him fired...if he'd come out about the corruption, who knows where he'd be.

We expect too much...it would have been much easier to go along and get rich.

So maybe he helped his son to score? Did he defraud or corrupt our country?
I'm not a judge or an expert but it leaves me feeling really disappointed in him. I honestly thought he was one of the good guys but now I have my doubts

Pressure from Zuma. ?

Probably said if you don't do this we will tell what really happened.

If Zuma had any missiles left he would have fired them long ago.
