Neoflex Firmware Update available here:

LOL @ the disclaimer...

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
BEFORE DOWNLOADING AND UPGRADING ANY FIRMWARE, PLEASE CHECK THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE Axesstel MV420 DEVICE. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND DOWNLOAD AND UPGRADE OF INCORRECT FIRMWARE WILL RENDER YOUR DEVICE UNREPAIRABLE, FOR WHICH NEOTEL WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY. FIRMWARE VERSIONS ARE NOT INTEROPERABLE OR INTERCHANGEABLE, AND IT IS THERFORE REQUIRED THAT THE FOLLOWING STEPS BE FOLLOWED:

You stuffup your update and you get a sorry 4 u :D U didnt follow the instructions to the letter :D

The big thing is that the Axesstel Manager and PST applications still picks up the modem... but i am not able to connect via the network cable... so via USB and some app i should be able to flush the new firmware to the device. I tried the axesstel apps i have and one app fails when it tries to write the filesystem and the other complains about applying the RAM image or something....

Sounds like your update was only half done .. I take it you have tried to use the reset button to reset to factory defaults and then try re-upload ?
Also seems like the Neotel Rep still browses these forums :D and wanted to disclaimer you :D

With teh update being half done not sure how much joy you are going to have tbh. I dont know of any third party apps to do what you want.

Help

Hello good afternoon to all, first that nothing I want to thank to him to ushir by its great contribution when providing to us this information to update our Modem, I use this update and I can say to them that everything working very well even them comment that my connection became stable much more, the only problem that I have is that when wanting to enter the configuration of the modem (192,168,0,1 the network) it requests the user and password, but I realize that the information with which story does not serve to me, because it does not work to me and it does not give access me to the configuration, thus I dared to write to them to request its aid and me and password enters Setup network, beforehand I am thankful to them by all the aid that can provide to me, THANKS.
My modem is a Axssestel model MV440 and my supplier on watch is Iusacell in Mexico.

I request thousand excuses to them by ingles since I translated with the program Systran translator, I hope include/understand not to speak ingles to me.

O.o LOL We have a Mexican trying to use Neotel. I can see this ending in tears :D

I am not trying already uses it and if it works

what is the username and password that you use for log in at Network setup after update the modem version MV400_ETH_102C_11_STNDupgrade. ?

and because they say that it will end up crying?

that it is not a this community to help itself?

single I need the user and password who use to enter the configuration.

LoL julianmon you have the wrong community.

This is for Neotel users only. And Neotel is only available in South Africa

Connect the dots...and i hope you have got your old firmware else you are going to end up crying

See Ugo and I understand that I am wrong in a community, but the only thing I ask is that I can help the user and password to access the modem settings, which default firmware brings MV400_ETH_102C_11_STNDupgrade of Neotel, that is all I ask, thank you all for your help.

I almost forgot, Merry Christmas

I think he wants the default password that is setup in the device to access the admin pages.

admin - password

thank you all for your help
succeeds in penetrating
THANKS.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

I have installed the firmware that was in the first post. After installing this my modem stopped working with the Ethernet cable and only works with the USB cable. I have seen that there are two versions of the firmware on neotel's site and it seem like the one I installed was the wrong one. Is there any way that I can re-install the firmware using the usb cable. Ant help will really be appreciated. Thanks..

No, I can only connect to the modem through the USB.
When I try to use the Ethernet Cable it can't get an IP address, it says authenticating for a little while and then just gives an error.

Did you install firmware for right device(I'm asking just in case).

That's an error I don't know how to fix.Can you roll back the firmware upgrade?
Otherwise , if you can't fix it , you could ask for replacement (they might allow it with a fee maybe ).
If that's not an option , I don't know others.:(

I did the update and all went well, but normally I am scared stiff of firmware upgrades. When designing a proper firmware upgrading system the designer normally includes a never-to-be-replaced bootloader, which in the case of a boo-boo can allow you to retry or reload known firmware. Even better is when you have a rollback factory default. But some of the Chinese crap sometimes has just enough memory to make the firmware loader part of the firmware, which means that when you trash the update that you are essentially sitting with a blank /corrupted device. Looking at the competancy level at NoTel I reckon they don't have the tools to re-flash it.

I had a problem with my Vodacom (Novotel??) card in 2005. I did the update at home and it went bye-bye. Calling them they told me that I have just nulled my warranty and that the device was now dead. But a friendly guy at Vodaworld helped me by 'claiming' that he flashed the card and that it failed on his laptop, hence a replacement from Vodacom.

My gut feeling is that the supplier must supply a walk in service with a dedicated (or generally qualified) person to do it. In the end I found that I had some sound application/driver that altered the bus timing which completely screwed the timing of the upgrade. A walk in service center should have a dedicated machine.
