I also upgraded my fimrware and experienced slower speeds. Have you managed to resolve your issue or can you downgrade the firmware version to Firmware Version MV400_ETH_102C_09_STND May-23-2008 15:04:08.
I do not have an external antennae
 
Do any of you know how i can get my hands on the MV400_ETH_102C_11_STNDupgrade.zip frimware files.. seems Neotel deleted them :mad:

Hi guys

After months of suffering with bad speeds etc after doing the firmware upgrade, I took my router to the Neotel shop in Fourways where the guy told me that the firmware is what caused problems on my router! He gave me a new router and instructed me to NOT update the firmware. He also apologised on behalf of Neotel for having incorrect software downloads on the website.

So now I have a firmware update free router, and my speeds are the best I've ever had. Easily getting over 100KB/s download, which is great! I can actually now connect with my PS3 and play online without any lag or problems.

So... what does this mean? Should we not do the firmware update? I SAY DON'T DO IT!!!

Just phone their callcentre and they will email the relevant firmware to you. I just got mine now.
 
Just wanted to share my experience with the firmware update. After reading all the stories about how it breaks things, I was quite nervous to try it. Am glad I did though. I am in an area with good reception and don't use an external antenae. It pushed me from 800k to 1400k downstream. It also fixed my DynDNS and a constant disconnect issue where I had to restart my router at least once a day by hand to get my connection back.
