Neoflex Firmware Update available here:

I've updated my neoflex modem with this, i also don't use an antenna.

My findings? My internet was ALOT better, now i can't confirm if it's due to this update or not. My connection have been DEGRADING alot since i signed up [July 2009] and so i was not able to use it as often due to constant disconnects/slow speeds.

Anyhow, so after the update it felt alot like back in July when i got it, might be coincidence, i will see if it continues to be good.

That said, it is NOT better than back when i signed up, it just seemed to have negated some of the degration i experienced.

feedback

Did the upgrade 2 days ago on standard Neoflex router and I'm happy to report that the disconnection issue that I've been having recently seems to have disappeared! :)

Just some feedback, i upgraded with the firmware, initially it felt better, but ultimately my connection is still in the pits. Extremely slow speeds. I might not be disconnecting, but time-outs [due to slow speeds] are ruling the day.

is there a way we can see logs on the neoflex router as my dynamic dns is not working after the firmware upgrade

I see that they have removed the firmware update off their site ?

Performance improvement on my side as well after applying the firmware upgrade. More stable connection, no disconnects AT ALL, and I've even managed to succesfully download a couple of torrent files!!!!! I thought torrent traffic was shaped!

Firmware Update Failed

Do anyone know how i can update my firmware with an external program like the AxesstelPst EvDO?? I tried to update my firmware to the version in this thread, but somewhere it failed and now i am not able to get to the web administration page again......

The problem is that the router is toast now!!! I did do the upgrade via 192.168.0.1 but then something went wrong, now my router dont want to boot up properly so i cant get to 192.168.0.1. I need to do the firmware upgrade via USB and an external program or something??? Do anyone have advise on how to do this??? Tried the PST program but the update fails!!

I have learnt my lesson a few years ago with self updates. My Vodacom 3G modem went 'woof' with a simple update. Now I rather spend the petrol and take it to qualified people to do it.

Does anybody know where such a depot might be?

With the first quote above, I doubt they will have such a depot :(

There must be a way to re-apply firmware to the device through a USB connection and an external program. Neotel technicians must do this on a frequent basis as AxessTel provide them with new firmware versions. You should be able to upload and download firmware from the device... the question is just how and what external program is needed for that!!!

Neotel.....?????

Oh ja, and AxessTel has support which cant be compared to anything as there is none!!! Not even their website work properly!!!

Depends, if teh bootstrap loader is poof, then you will need to open the unit and do it with a jtag cable ( If this is supported ). I think yo uare up **** street tbh.

The big thing is that the Axesstel Manager and PST applications still picks up the modem... but i am not able to connect via the network cable... so via USB and some app i should be able to flush the new firmware to the device. I tried the axesstel apps i have and one app fails when it tries to write the filesystem and the other complains about applying the RAM image or something....
