Guys,

I have just JUST come back from the police station.
Long story short, my car had it's window smashed this morning and my laptop (mini) was stolen.

Long story short, the document i was working on this weekend that I had to send to Neotel first was on the laptop - I did all the documentation on the laptop!

I dunno what else to say, I should've done it sooner - it's just I had no time :( and then this happens :mad:

If you guys have any questions regarding the device, ask away and I'll pull from memory!

I'm really bummed about this! :(

Sorry to hear about this... I've had laptops stolen out of boots before, not a nice experience... You'll be remembering things you saved on there that are now lost for ages...

I guess my questions would be:
1. How was performance compared to the Prime device (or do you have Flex)?
2. When on the move, did performance fluctuate wildly from area to area?
3. Would you do NeoGo if you wanted internet right now?
 
1. Device did 50KB/s generally, on youtube it did it's normal thing, played for 2 seconds and loaded again. I drove from my place to west lake and the drive didn't disconnect from A to B - the speeds did drop from 50 to 20 and then went backup when we arrived at west lake.

2. Did fluctuate but not wildly (depends how you mean) it (when still) stayed at about 50KB/s, when moving, dropped to 20-30KB/s.

3. I would goto NeoGo.

I'm still so P'd off about that.

I did such a hectic report, with lots of screenshots etc.

I can't remember everything, but if asked, I'm sure I can think up information and post it.

Funny enough, the only thing of value on the laptop was the neotel report, I never used the laptop for anything else other than minor browsing.

Well, I should've taken a picture as proof, smashed window and all.

At work I still hear about it.
 
I guess all i can say : Learn to use Online services , Google Docs would've saved your arse . Especially if you're testing internet services , even more reason to use online services to test it with.

Either way, i can't even open Google Docs on Neoflex without some sort of time-out, so meh, Neotel was good at some point , but now it's just crap.
 
just one question gdiza, latency? would you say that you got good latency with neotel? what device did you have? Prime,Flex,or neoGo?
overall was the neotel experience a good one(besides your laptop, a real bummer).

Please give like a rating out of 10.
