Fair enough but then they should not have repeatedly said that consumer services were around the corner. 100 days is all they say all the time. They should be honest and say first quarter 2009 or late 2010. It is all the lies that gets to me.

Yes, and it's not just "all the lying" - the lying SAYS A LOT about how the Neotel management view, regard and deal with their potential customers in general. Basically, it demonstrates their worldview is that we customers must all be a bunch of stupid, gullible rubbish to be manipulated ... that sounds harsh, but think about it, they don't even have enough respect for us to even try to be vaguely honest, rather we're just to be easily manipulated with weasel-words, you see.

And it's just the nature of human cooperation that such an attitude of management MUST carry through to EVERY area and aspect of their operations.

I don't expect all businesspeople to be angels, but healthy competition has always proven to be the most reliable way to keep these kinds of attitudes in line. But it's 2008 and STILL NO FREE MARKET, so sales of lube continue at record levels. (The blame for that lies squarely with the government.)

I thought someone might say that, but sorry, it's non-standard-protocol to question if a post is humorous EVEN IF your questioning is done with humour :) ... it's just not done.

I don't like being lied to either. But we shouldn't forget where all the problems are coming from. Neotel has had disappointments too and if it wasn't for the whole Infraco mess we would have gone through this a year ago and everything would be running smoothly now.

I can understand why they therefor don't want to give any definitive dates as their initial planning was done with 3rd quarter this to 1st quarter that and they can't afford anymore disappointment. What is different is that Neotel has learned from this mistake that set them back by a year and now has their 13,000km network on top of which they are offering corporate services and testing the consumer services.

We can expect something definitive in roughly the next month. I have been waiting for over 5 years so I can afford to wait a few more weeks. It won't be later than April. It seems to me most people had the expectation of the consumer services being launched along with the corporate services and when this didn't happen everyone got upset rather than look at the original timeline.
